About The Position

The Vice President, Content will lead the strategic vision, development, and execution of all league content across owned and paid platforms, including social, video, editorial. This role is responsible for building a distinctive, fan-first content ecosystem that drives engagement, grows audience reach, and elevates the league’s brand voice. This leader will oversee long- and short-form content production, ensuring alignment with marketing priorities and seamless integration with commercial partnerships. This individual will work closely with leaders across marketing, comms, partnerships and digital to ensure content distribution and amplification both maximizes reach and honors brand development. The VP, Content will also establish clear performance frameworks to measure success, optimize content strategy, and expand reach among emerging and next-generation audiences.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in content strategy, digital media, or production; sports, media, or entertainment experience a strong plus, but not required
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing, growth-driving content platforms and teams
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, creator/influencer ecosystem, digital trends, and audience development strategies
  • Experience with SEO, GEO and AI tools that support efficiency.
  • Experience integrating brand partnerships into content in a way that balances commercialization opportunities with brand authenticity and audience growth goals
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions
  • Exceptional storytelling instincts and editorial judgment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Needs to be a strategic operator and demonstrates a 'player/coach' mentality
