About The Position

Partners at all levels of the organization to develop, implement, and execute an organization-wide risk management strategy that assures compliance with regulations and prevents, minimizes, and mitigates risk while safeguarding profitability of the business operations.

Requirements

  • Monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures and ensure their alignment with organizational strategies and work objectives.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize and manage risks.
  • Plan, identify, monitor, analyze, and prioritize risks (threats and opportunities), create response plans, and manage the risk if it occurs.
  • Determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s: Accounting
  • Bachelor’s: Business Administration
  • Bachelor’s: Data Processing
  • General Experience - More than 15 years
  • Manager Experience - 10 to 15 years
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) - Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS)

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for developing and delivering the organization's risk management and/or risk control policies and procedures.
  • Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant function.
  • Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities.
  • Embed personal development and the fulfillment of personal potential in the culture of the organization.
  • Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
  • Lead strategic risk modeling and scenario planning for business-critical decisions to support business strategy and to identify and mitigate risk in line with the risk appetite.
  • Advise on strategic modeling of risk scenarios to comply with the risk appetite.
  • Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarify the actions needed to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
