The Role Achieve is seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and transformative leader to serve as the Head of Capital Markets. This role will own the strategic multi-year funding roadmap to support our growth at Achieve, reporting directly to the President of Achieve Lending. The ideal candidate is a distinguished talent sitting at the intersection of investor relations, structured finance, and an advanced understanding of credit risk. Your mission is to transform our Capital Markets activities into a world-class, programmatic effort that automatically aligns institutional investor demand with credit risk, origination types, and liquidity targets. You will define the performance plan for loan sales and securitization, maintaining full accountability for these outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ Years of Senior Experience: Deep tenure within consumer structured finance, investment banking, asset management, or fintech capital markets platforms, including 3-5+ years leading the Capital Markets function.
• Proven Track Record: Tangible history of managing programmatic ABS platforms, negotiating committed forward-flow and warehouse facilities, and managing through complex liquidity environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline.
• Distinguished Expert: Equal parts Wall Street transaction experience and modern data-driven strategist.
• Possess deep familiarity with structural waterfalls, stress simulations, and advanced modeling.
• Owner Mindset: Proven ability to manage outcomes, treat investor demand as a managed portfolio, and tie capital markets outcomes directly to long-term enterprise value creation.
• Transparent Communicator: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a leadership philosophy rooted in proactive transparency to create trust internally and with external partners.
• People & Culture Leader: Experience building high-performing, cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance while fostering a results-oriented culture focused on rapid execution and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and guide Achieve's funding stack as a highly diversified asset portfolio, optimizing across Cost of Capital, Certainty of Takeout, Capacity, and Resilience.
• Strategically architect and oversee Forward Flow Agreements, Warehouse Lines, and an Asset-Backed Securitization (ABS) Program.
• Partner closely with Credit Risk to ensure credit box alignment with forward flow eligibility, warehouse advance criteria, and ABS structural requirements.
• Partner with Finance and Treasury teams to prudently manage overall corporate liquidity through capital markets activities, ensuring a self-funded operational cushion to withstand market risk.
• Transform legacy funding processes to a dynamic, automated Capital Allocation Engine by partnering with the technology team.
• Systematically route everyday origination volume through algorithmic Best Execution, based on market conditions, funding costs, credit risk factors, and enterprise risk management constraints.
• Sponsor and scale advanced AI capabilities across Predictive Pricing, Investor Allocations, Risk/Prepayment Monitoring, and Automated Deal Structuring.
• Oversee the construction of an institutional-grade unified loan data warehouse and a self-service investor reporting portal.
• Extend capabilities to model credit and stress scenarios to accurately predict structural implications and tradeoffs.
• Improve organizational collaboration between the Capital Markets team and the rest of Achieve by overseeing cross-functional operating rhythms.
• Synthesize investor feedback, market intelligence, and shifts in asset preferences.
• Establish operational gates to ensure new product launches and credit expansions have committed funding and to ensure that Capital Markets participates in shaping what Achieve produces.
• Align tightly on revenue recognition policies, corporate cost of capital metrics, and optimal balance sheet deployment.
• Lead the strategic formulation and capital design of Achieve’s expanding product suite, driving growth into new asset classes while ensuring absolute alignment between capital markets viability and borrower demand.
• Spearhead the capital strategy and structural design for new lending products across diverse categories, including mortgage, auto, and credit cards.
• Partner closely with Credit Risk, Marketing, and Business Unit General Managers (GMs) to co-author product features that simultaneously optimize borrower acquisition, risk-adjusted returns, and investor appetite.
• Serve as the structural anchor for all new product initiatives, ensuring that asset designs, credit boxes, and yield profiles seamlessly integrate with warehouse lines, forward flow agreements, and future ABS programmatic issuance.
