Your role involves identifying business opportunities, assessing customer needs, and matching these with the company’s services to acquire new logo customers. You will identify target customers in key verticals to build an adequate pipeline, develop strategies to increase integrated and cross-selling opportunities, and scan the competitive landscape. The position also requires working with Business Units to evaluate the attractiveness of verticals and develop penetration strategies, maintaining needs assessments of key verticals, and aligning services and resources. You will develop unique value propositions, support global and divisional sales efforts, identify new services based on research and interaction, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on industry trends and new solutions. Additionally, you will develop relationships with consultants and industry partners to create new channels to market and service offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant business development experience
  • Experience in the Supply Chain Industry
  • PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to write proposals and RFP responses
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships with regional and national logistics clients
  • Dynamic leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Identifies business opportunities, assesses customer needs, and matches these with the cmpany’s services to acquire new logo customers
  • Identifies target customers in key verticals to build and adequate pipeline
  • Develops strategies to increase integrated and cross selling opportunities
  • Scans competitive landscape including annual reports, press releases, other industry new sources
  • Works with Business Units to evaluate attractiveness of verticals and develop penetration strategies
  • Develops and maintain needs assessment of key verticals and align services and resources as required
  • Develops unique value propositions to target customers with key services
  • Supports global and divisional sales efforts
  • Identifies new services based on vertical and customer research and interaction
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on industry trends and new services/solutions
  • Develops strategies to increase integrated and cross selling opportunities
  • Develops relationships with consultants and industry partners to create new channels to market as well as new service offerings
  • Other duties as required and assigned
