About The Position

Provident Bank is seeking a dynamic VP, Branch Manager to lead retail branch operations. This role is responsible for the growth of consumer and business customer relationships, as well as the administration and daily operation of multiple retail branch offices or a single branch with a qualifying deposit base and FTE count. The Branch Manager II provides leadership to the branch team, focusing on achieving objectives and goals, employee development, maintaining and expanding customer relationships, profitability, deposit growth, loan growth, non-traditional product sales, and cross-selling financial products and services. The position ensures adherence to internal controls, lending, product sales, customer service, performance management, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank’s objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 years Branch Manager experience in a sales and service environment
  • Business development experience, with strong community ties within the general area of branch locations.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional client-centric and service-oriented attitude.
  • Clearly communicates a vision and removes barriers for team success
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and production goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized. Ability to plan and complete multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Knowledgeable of banking operational processes and how they relate to Federal Regulations and Laws.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to travel throughout the branch network.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or managing remote locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Prior multi-branch/office management experience preferred
  • Life and Health Licenses to support investment program (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all assigned goals.
  • Monitor sales goals for all branch team members and provide coaching on sales skills.
  • Conduct weekly team huddles and team meetings focused on sales activities and results.
  • Manage and perform external sales calling program.
  • Provide positive leadership, mentorship, and inspire branch team members.
  • Participate in professional leadership development courses and product/service training.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered and exceeds expectations, validated by customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in local community events.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to branch staff in all aspects of branch operations.
  • Ensure branch team members operate within established policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ensure all required reports are submitted completely and in a timely manner.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints/situations, resolving problems and providing constructive feedback and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for all risk management-related issues concerning branches.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.
