PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income with deep expertise across public and private markets. We invest our clients’ capital across a range of fixed income and credit opportunities, leveraging our decades of experience navigating complex debt markets. Our flexible capital base and deep relationships with issuers have helped us become one of the world’s largest providers of traditional and nontraditional solutions for companies that need financing and investors who seek strong risk-adjusted returns. We believe each of us is here to help others succeed and this has led to PIMCO being recognized as an innovator, industry thought leader and trusted advisor to our clients. PIMCO’s Alternatives platform is a key strategic growth area for the firm, managing approximately $160billion across a diverse range of investment strategies and vehicle structures, including evergreen and closed-end funds. As the platform continues to expand, the Alternatives Funds Tax team plays a central role in supporting this growth, providing tax planning and structuring support across the platform. We are seeking to add a Vice President, Alternatives Tax to join our team. In this role, you will focus on tax planning and structuring for the firm’s private equity and hedge funds, with responsibility spanning fund launches, deal structuring, and ongoing fund compliance oversight. The position offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to partner closely with Portfolio Management, Product Strategy, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and external service providers, serving as a trusted advisor to the business. You will leverage your technical expertise and influence to help shape investment structures, support new product development, and embed tax considerations into key business decisions. Your scope will cover the full lifecycle: from participating in day-one fund and deal structuring through to ongoing oversight and investor-related matters, providing a forward-looking perspective on how tax impacts performance, scalability, and outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond tax compliance and engage earlier in the lifecycle—contributing to deal structuring, shaping outcomes, and seeing firsthand how tax decisions impact investment performance and business growth.
