The Field Director role is part of the director team responsible for building an office from the ground up. This involves training and managing canvassers, participating in field canvassing to lead by example, communicating goals, and overseeing campaign reporting. Field Directors manage canvassers and Team Leads, reporting to the Lead Director. The role requires leading by example through active canvassing, training, and supporting canvassers, managing daily operations, meeting voter contact goals, and developing future leaders within the team.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of 20-50 paid canvassers who will engage voters.
• Canvass yourself multiple days a week to lead by example and train staff in the field.
• Set voter registration goals
• Provide ongoing training, support, and motivation to ensure a high-performing team.
• Identify, promote, and develop leadership within the team to maximize impact.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive environment where all staff feel valued and respected.
• Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure message accuracy and data integrity.
• Maintain a safe and positive working environment for all staff.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to reach targeted voters effectively.
• Handle administrative tasks, including daily data reporting, payroll processing, and inventory management.
