The YI Texas office is looking for a Voter Engagement Fellow to join our team. This is a paid fellowship lasting 4 months. Current college students and people participating in work-based learning programs are encouraged to apply. Existing experience within YI’s young advocates' program and Youth Advisory board will be critical to the role's success. This position is based in Houston, Texas and will require travel in the Greater Houston area. This position pays $21/hour for 15-19 hours/week. The Voter Engagement Fellow must be available at least 6-8 consecutive hours any day Monday through Friday, 9 am- 5 pm CT, and the rest of the hours can be scheduled around the fellow’s availability. The fellow will assist the Houston YI full-time staff in executing the Houston Civic Engagement Network (C.E.N.), managing organizing events, assisting with deep canvassing and outreach, support the “Get Out the Vote” pledges, helping engage our current base of advocates, and assisting with various aspects related to Houston voter engagement. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about nonprofits, civic engagement program management, community outreach, partnership development, managing volunteers, organizing, and outreach.
