About The Position
The Volunteer provides time, talent and leadership to carry out the mission of Family & Community Services. Responsibilities are dependent upon the program assignment and may include but are not limited to receptionist duties (answering phones, stuffing envelopes, writing thank you letters, etc.), preparing and/or serving meals, cleaning kitchens, stocking food pantries, painting shelters, assisting with donations, assisting with special events, representing Family & Community Services at events, mentoring a child, entertaining (playing piano, etc.), teaching a craft/skill, and teaching financial literacy.
Requirements
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- Work as an effective team member.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Customer service experience either through employment or volunteer services if applicable.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs if applicable.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable.
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation) if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular and consistent coverage for assignments.
- Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
- Duties as assigned.
