About The Position
The Channel Islands YMCA is seeking a dedicated Volunteer to join their team at the St. George Youth Center in Isla Vista, CA. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of children, adhering to YMCA policies, and contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Attend all necessary trainings and meetings.
- Report to shift on time.
- Call within 24 hours (or as soon as you are aware of cancellations) and find a sub from approved list when possible.
- Supervise safe arrival and departure of children.
- Clean up area before departure.
- Report any incidents to the Program Director.
- Learn and adhere to YMCA rules, policies, and procedures.
- Update staff, members, and parents about program/event/child process as needed.
