About The Position
This is an unpaid volunteer application for the Gideon - Keller location on Golden Triangle Blvd in Fort Worth. It is situated across from Sam's Club and very close to Keller and Northwest ISD high schools. This role is ideal for individuals in 7th-9th grades looking to gain experience working with children in an after-school math and reading center. As an instructor/tutor, you will work with students aged approximately 4 to 13, assisting them with Gideon Math & Reading curriculum and methods to help them achieve their academic goals. Gideon is dedicated to building confidence through academic mastery in a fun, calm learning environment.

Responsibilities
- Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students.
- Listen to students read short storybooks and answer a series of questions afterward.
- Listen to students recite math facts while you have the answers.
- Monitor the students at the table to keep them on task and promote a productive learning environment by keeping the table quiet and mostly chatter-free.
