This position assists with screening, record keeping, orientation, and training of volunteers under the direction of the Director of Volunteer Services to support the continued growth and maintenance of the Volunteer Services Department. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working with the public in person and by phone
Comfortable speaking in groups and individually
Office experience including filing
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

Verifies applications and health screens, sends reference checks, and submits CORI forms.
Maintains volunteer records in Volgistics and generates reports.
Assists with individual and group orientations.
Supports teen volunteer programs and escorts new volunteers to departments.
Assists with volunteer interviews and matches volunteers to appropriate roles.
Prioritizes scheduling requests and maintains attention to detail.
Assists with planning and executing volunteer recognition events.
Provides forms and tracks paperwork for student observers.
Follows up on incomplete documentation.
