About The Position

The Volunteer Park Host at Lake Jennings Park is a volunteer opportunity with Helix Water District. In exchange for a minimum of 20 hours of labor per week (includes weekends and holidays), our Volunteer Park Host will receive a campsite that includes water and electricity under a month-to-month lease agreement. Park Hosts must have their own RV and be willing to live in the campground. Our Volunteer Park Hosts help Lake Jennings staff provide an enjoyable experience for the public. The impression made by a Park Host directly influences a camper's stay in the park and whether they will return. As one of Helix' most visible representatives, the Volunteer Park Hosts serve as the eyes and ears of the district, helping to deter vandalism and ensure the rules are followed. Our Volunteer Park Hosts greet campers with a smile and offer any assistance to help make their stay fun. Park Hosts are courteous in answering questions and introduce themselves when making public contact. A Park Host sets an example by being a model camper, practicing good housekeeping at all times in and around the host site, and following all of the district's rules and regulations, the same as is required of other campers.
