About The Position
Waypoint’s Transitional Living Program is looking for a Live-In House Mentor to provide encouragement, connection, and positive mentorship to young adults ages 18–21. In exchange for an average of 10–12 hours of volunteer support each week, you’ll receive a rent-free room in our Dover home. This is an opportunity to be a steady, positive presence for young adults as they build independence, develop life skills, navigate challenges, and work toward their goals.
Requirements
- Compassionate, dependable, open-minded
- Able to maintain healthy boundaries
- Genuinely believes in the potential of young people
- Must be 21+
Nice To Haves
- Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply
- Professional or personal experience with youth is a plus
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with young adults

- Host fun, pro-social activities based on residents’ interests
- Encourage independence, life skills, and healthy routines
- Help navigate challenges and support positive problem-solving
