About The Position

Community Healthcare of Texas has provided Hospice and Palliative Care Services since 1996. Community Healthcare of Texas has cared for patients with serious and terminal illnesses throughout North Central Texas. Community Healthcare of Texas's mission is to provide compassionate care for those living with an illness while supporting those caring for a loved one.

Requirements

Experience presenting educational material to small and large groups of people.
Knowledgeable of local volunteer recruiting and sourcing opportunities/venues.
Experience in a hospice agency.
Proficiency with computers is required; Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university) preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing community education about Community Healthcare and on volunteer opportunities with the Agency.
Screen volunteer applicants for appropriate placements
Recruit and train all new volunteers on the approved Volunteer Training Curriculum.
Manage volunteer records, both paper and electronic records.
Organize volunteer recognition and appreciation events annually.
Educate clinical staff on the role of the volunteers and appropriate referrals.
Participate in IDG.
Provide ongoing supervision and evaluation for volunteers.
Comply with all Community Healthcare Policies, Procedures, and personnel Policies, including those specifically addressing disaster preparedness and response.
Build strong relationships with volunteers and community members to continually grow the volunteer program.
May assist with the coordination of bereavement services.
