The Volunteer Coordinator identifies and qualifies community volunteers. Requirements

Demonstrated customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Exchange, or Outlook, as well as the internet

Nice To Haves

Experience in building and maintaining customer relations (e.g., community partners, volunteers, patients, families, visitors, and system staff)
Experience managing volunteers, including recruiting and program management

Responsibilities

Supports day-to-day management of volunteer program, including recruitment (screening, orientation, and placement), appreciation/celebration programs, and donation support.
Develops placements and programs that engage volunteers.
Helps with or completes special projects.
Assists with building and managing external relationships to fill positions (e.g., networking, advertising, associations, agencies, colleges).
Plans, implements, and manages special events.
Manages specialty in-patient volunteer groups, including promotion, recruitment, and facilitation.
Ensures volunteers receive timely contact, feedback, and customer support.
Meets with system representatives regarding positions, candidates, and opportunities for improvement.
Supervises department intern when assigned.
