About The Position
Philadelphia Youth Basketball (PYB) uses the power of basketball to help young people grow into strong students, leaders, and citizens. Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches and staff
- Positive attitude and willingness to support youth development
- Reliable attendance and communication
- Ability to follow PYB expectations and code of conduct
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check (SP4 164)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Form (CY113 Mandated Reporters - Certificate
- National Sex Offender Registry Verification
- Concussion Training
- CPR/AED Certificate
Responsibilities
- Assist coaching staff during practices and games
- Help supervise players during transitions and team activities
- Lead drills, stations, and basketball activities as assigned
- Support positive sideline and team culture expectations
- Assist with communication reminders and team organization
- Support tournament operations and Academy events as needed
- Reinforce sportsmanship, accountability, and player engagement
- Assist with attendance and general team support
- Serve as a positive representative of PYB within the family community
