About The Position

The Volunteer Board of Directors have the ultimate responsibility for guiding the credit union. Board members must be loyal to the credit union, act in good faith, and make decisions to benefit the credit union and its members. Board members are diligent, timely, detailed, curious, focused, and open to giving and seeing new perspectives. Board members meet monthly with the credit union executive team to discuss credit union operations and financials, and each member serves on a sub-committee that meets quarterly. Board members are elected to serve a 3-year term. The board can have up to 9 members and 3 advisory directors.

Requirements

  • Member of Energy Capital Credit Union in good standing
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities (work place, credit union, and/or community)
  • Must provide qualified references, if requested
  • High level of commitment and interest in serving on Board
  • Background and credit checks conducted on each applicant, with his/her approval
