About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Volumetric Concrete Mixer Truck Operator to join our team. This highly specialized role ensures accurate on-site production and delivery of concrete to support field operations across diverse civil and utility projects. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, technically proficient, and capable of operating independently while maintaining excellent communication with field leadership and clients.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and current medical card.
  • Ability to maintain company driving privileges.
  • Prior experience operating heavy trucks (Class A or B CDL preferred; willingness to obtain CDL required).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a volumetric concrete mixer.
  • Experience in concrete or construction field operations.
  • Familiarity with tablet-based field reporting or delivery tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a volumetric concrete mixer truck to batch, mix, and deliver concrete according to project specifications.
  • Adjust mix settings and material ratios based on field needs, environmental conditions, and specifications.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure consistency and structural integrity of concrete.
  • Deliver concrete to multiple job sites as scheduled and directed by Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Maintain communication with field teams to ensure timely delivery and respond to job-site changes or needs.
  • Assist field crews during delivery as appropriate.
  • Load raw materials (aggregate, cement, admixtures, water) and monitor inventory levels.
  • Inspect and maintain the truck, mixer, and associated equipment for safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and complete DOT-required documentation.
  • Follow company and DOT safety standards and maintain compliance with all regulations.
  • Maintain a clean truck and work area, following environmental and spill-prevention protocols.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and training programs.
  • Accurately track concrete volumes, mix adjustments, loads delivered, and jobsite details using tablets or manual logs.
