About The Position

Volkswagen Certified Automotive Technician needed to diagnose and inspect guest concerns, perform repairs, and collaborate with service and parts teams. This role requires excellent customer service, accurate record-keeping, and continuous learning to stay updated on the latest mechanical techniques. The technician will maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or vocational training OR job-related course work required completed
Teamwork approach and can-do attitude
Your own repair tools
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment independently, working with multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Ability to interpret installation instructions, diagrams and schematics to ensure accuracy and precision
Strong technical skills and intense desire to learn
Communication skills and a professional demeanor
Sense of humor and motivation to learn and succeed with a team

Responsibilities

Diagnose and inspect guest concerns per repair order notes
Communicate with guests and team leads to determine the nature of mechanical problems
Perform any/all needed repairs and work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with all service and parts teams to understand needs and provide expert service and advice
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the process
Maintain accurate records of all services performed
Keep up-to-date with the latest mechanical techniques through ongoing training and professional development
Provide excellent customer service to dealership teammates and dealership guests
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
