Voice Talent Casting - Silkroad & Mulberry
About The Position
At DataForce, we are seeking professional male and female voice talents for 2 projects involving narrative voice recordings to support the development of text-to-speech (TTS) technology. As part of the casting process, applicants are required to submit a voice sample for evaluation. Voice samples will be used solely for screening and selection purposes and are not compensated. Selected voice talents will be presented to our client for consideration for 2 different TTS projects, each requiring 3-6 hours of scripted audio. Recordings will be completed through our proprietary recording platform, Media Director. Project Mulberry's voice recordings will be used in the creation of a TTS voice capable of narrating audiobooks, with a separate buyout fee included in the rate and an Assignment of Rights Agreement to be signed. Project Silkroad's voice recordings will be used as data for training and testing existing TTS models, with no buyout fee offered as voice cloning is not included.
Requirements
- Professional recording experience
- Idiomatic fluency in one or more of the following languages: English (US), Spanish (US), English (UK), German (Germany), French (France), Spanish (Spain), Italian (Italy), Polish (Poland)
- Good English communication and comprehension skills
- Age 18+
- Ability to record in a professional-quality home studio or access to a professional recording studio
- Wired microphone
- Submit a 30-60 second voice sample in WAV (.wav) format
- Voice sample must have a narrative delivery style
- Voice sample must be voice only (no background music or sound effects)
- Voice sample must be recorded entirely in the target language
Responsibilities
- Provide narrative voice recordings for text-to-speech (TTS) technology development.
- Submit a voice sample for evaluation.
- Record 3-6 hours of scripted audio for each project if selected.
- Record using DataForce's proprietary recording platform, Media Director.
- Sign an Assignment of Rights Agreement for Project Mulberry.
