About The Position

Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a 1st Shift Voice Picker. This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old book publishing company with offices around the world.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and read shipping labels.
• Ability to understand and follow simple commands.
• Able to meet daily LM quota for picking.
• Attention to detail.
• Good listening and math skills.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day.
• Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using voice picking equipment.
• Follow simple voice commands to fill book orders.
• Meet or exceed LM SOP quota.
• Scan labels using finger scanner.
• Willing to work in other areas of operation from time to time.
• Take direction from different leads when working in other areas.
• Perform replenishments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
