About The Position

This role involves designing, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining a variety of network and telecommunications systems equipment. The engineer will build and maintain architectures primarily in packetized environments, focusing on directory architecture, network operating systems, storage systems, collaborative environments, and convergence. This includes expertise in LAN/WAN and security technologies such as MS Windows OS and NOS, Unix, Linux, directory services, NAS and SAN, Tape and Backup, Proxy, Firewalls, VP, IDS, and IPS.

Requirements

• Customer Service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of telecommunications field and service provider environments/services useful
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and implementation
• BA/BS + 4 Years’ in related field or equivalent experience
• Possess Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or better
• Experience with CISCO Voice and Security or related expertise or equivalent experience
• ITIL Foundations Certification (within 6 months) with related expertise or equivalent experience
• Experience with ITSM/Remedy
