About The Position

Sandy Mac Evolution is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Voice and Video Engineer to support mission-critical communication systems in Doral, Florida. This position will support complex voice, video, and unified communications environments while working closely with technical teams, leadership, and mission partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure voice and video communication solutions across enterprise and DoD environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant Voice and Video Engineering experience.
  • Expertise configuring and troubleshooting voice and video equipment, including IP phones, video conferencing endpoints, gateways, and call control systems.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, QoS, and security protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of voice and video communication technologies, protocols, and standards, including VoIP, SIP, H.323, and WebRTC.
  • Extensive experience with VoIP systems, video conferencing platforms, and unified communications solutions.
  • Must possess an 8570 IASAE certification.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of emerging voice and video technologies, including cloud-based solutions and AI-powered video analytics.

  • Experience supporting a DoD Combatant Command, such as SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM, or a component command.
  • Working knowledge of Land Mobile Radio, SATCOM, cabling, site surveys, inside plant, outside plant, and point-to-point communications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure voice and video solutions aligned with mission and business requirements.
  • Develop architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot VoIP systems, video conferencing endpoints, gateways, call control systems, and unified communications platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend new voice, video, and collaboration technologies.
  • Lead implementation and deployment of new systems and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with network, systems, cybersecurity, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across the communications environment.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze usage, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Implement and maintain security measures for voice and video platforms.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and support resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Develop knowledge base articles, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Provide guidance to subordinate team members as required.
  • Take direction from the DoDIN Operations Lead and support mission objectives as assigned.
