Voice and Piano Teacher - Austin, TX
About The Position
Velocity Music Academy - Arbor Trails is seeking fun, experienced, and professional voice and piano instructors to teach part-time at their Southwest Austin location. The teacher will be instructing IN PERSON at the school. This position begins the first week of March. The role requires availability on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 3 PM. Successful candidates should have a strong music background, a love of teaching, experience with young musicians, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $28-$32/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching and health benefit options are available to eligible employees.
Requirements
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or equivalent performing experience
- Demonstrated love of teaching
- Experience working with young musicians
- Robust appreciation for punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a routine background check
