About The Position

Ädelbrook Transitional Academy provides a supportive, community-based learning environment for young adults ages 18–22 with autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Through individualized programming, hands-on vocational training, and social-emotional learning, students gain practical skills for real-world success and independent living. Our Transitional Academy focuses on helping students explore their strengths, develop workplace readiness, strengthen daily living skills, and build meaningful connections within their communities.

Responsibilities

• Support students in developing vocational skills, workplace behaviors, and community readiness
• Assist with job training, community-based learning experiences, and career exploration opportunities
• Provide guidance with daily living skills and promote greater independence
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to support individualized goals
• Help students build confidence, social skills, and self-advocacy skills for life beyond school
