About The Position

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist Passionate about improving health and assisting clients with their vocational rehabilitation needs? So are we! CBI Health Group is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to deliver on a range of vocational services including assessment services, Vocational Interest and Aptitude Testing, job search skills, resume and cover letter development, individualized job placement services and client file management. Suitable candidates will have experience conducting Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Interest and Aptitude Testing. If you possess excellent assessment and treatment skills, and appreciate collaborating with other health professionals to develop and implement treatment plans with a return to function focus, apply today! Preference will be given to candidates with one of the following designations/certifications; Psychologists registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists; or Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation through the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, or Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) or Master’s Certificate, Vocational Professional (MCVP) through the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals; or Canadian Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CCRC) or Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle. Qualifications: Undergraduate or Master’s degree in a related discipline Vocational job search services knowledge and aptitude testing and interpretation is required Preference for a CVRP designation or related designation/certification listed above with a professional organization or ability/willingness to obtain one Here’s what you’ll need to be successful: Experience required in working with clients with adult onset disabilities and familiarity with the impact medical restrictions have on clients’ abilities to seek and secure work Experience developing and conducting results oriented job search skills programs and individualized placement services, within budget and timeline expectations Transferable skills expertise and knowledge of local labour market research experience required Minimum of one (1) year experience conducting Vocational Interest and Aptitude Testing i.e. Aptitude, Interest, Achievement and Personality testing and interpretation - AND/OR Minimum of two (2) years of job search services delivery experience in one or more of the following areas: resume and cover letter writing, interview strategies, job search strategies, employer liaising and placements. Requirements

  • Undergraduate or Master’s degree in a related discipline
