About The Position

A Role With Variety—and Purpose! Are you someone who enjoys working with people, staying active, and doing something different every day? People Services, Inc. is seeking a flexible and dependable Vocational & Fleet Support Specialist to support both our Employment Services and Transportation teams. This unique position combines vocational coaching, fleet detailing, and substitute driving. You'll help individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) develop workplace skills and reach their employment goals, while also keeping our agency vehicles clean, safe, and ready for service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and age 18 or older.
  • At least one year of retail, customer service, public-facing, or similar experience.
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a Passenger Endorsement within 90 days.
  • Strong communication, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing assignments and priorities.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and PRO-ACT certification within 90 days.
  • Successful completion of required fingerprint clearance, TB screening, and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with I/DD is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on job coaching, training, and support to individuals with I/DD.
  • Rotate among Employment Services programs including the Thrift Store, Annex, Grounds Maintenance, and Janitorial services.
  • Help individuals achieve their employment goals and collect basic progress data.
  • Provide excellent service to clients, customers, donors, and the public.
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence, and positive workplace behaviors.
  • Assist with program-site cleaning, organization, and general maintenance.
  • Thoroughly clean and detail agency vehicles inside and out.
  • Use vacuums, steamers, hoses, and appropriate cleaning products.
  • Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and basic vehicle condition records.
  • Serve as a substitute driver when needed, providing safe and compassionate transportation.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and wheelchair securement and complete required vehicle inspections and records.
  • Flex between Employment Services and Transportation based on agency needs.
  • Work independently while communicating closely with both departments.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Support the Agency's mission and provide a positive role model for the people we serve.
