About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking to hire a full-time Vocational Direct Support Professional to provide vocational training, instruction, and supervision in the development and implementation of the Individuals Written Program for the individuals assigned to this program who work out of the Center for Industrial Training (CIT) facility. CIT is a community-based program whose primary mission is to serve the needs of individuals with vocational challenges. CIT provides training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and other vocational challenges in the tri-county area. This is an entry-level opportunity in human services.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma/GED required.
Must possess physical stamina including the ability to lift and carry minimum of 45 pounds and stand for up to seven (7) hours.
Punctual and reliable.
Ability to keep track of multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible and patient.
Respectful, discreet with confidential information, and honest.
Enjoy helping people.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.
One year work experience in vocational rehabilitation or related field preferred.
