We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Position: Vocational/Recreational Coordinator The Vocational/Recreational Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of recreation programs and for developing and implementing vocational services to formerly homeless adults in residence. Commonwealth Veterans Residence is a single room occupancy (SRO) residence that provides permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single veteran men and women, including those diagnosed with behavioral health issues. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field and five years’ experience or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Completes intakes and assessment to determine vocational skill and job-readiness. And collaborate with Case Management staff to include vocational goals and objectives on service plan.
  • Identifies appropriate educational, training, and work experience programs for residents and refer residents to appropriate services.
  • Develops and supervises recreational activities for residents.
  • Screen volunteers, coordinate volunteer activities, and prepare monthly volunteer report.
  • Manages emergency food pantry and distributes food to clients on a regular basis.
