About The Position
The Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role works to increase and retain student enrollment while helping students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music. The teacher contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect and provides an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient; this posting specifically identifies keyboards.
- Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student enrollment based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships through a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share each student’s progress and goals frequently with the student and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
