About The Position

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking a part-time VN Clinical Instructor for their Vocational Nursing Program. This role involves teaching assigned classes in a clinical setting, collaborating with faculty on program development, and supporting the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in organizing the program and implementing standards. The instructor will also maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and ensure facility compliance with medical education requirements.

Requirements

  • Hold a current California active Registered Nurse license OR a current California active Vocational Nurse license.
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an approved school; or hold a valid teaching credential; or have completed at least one year of full-time teaching experience in a state-approved registered nursing, vocational nursing, practical nursing, or psychiatric technician school within the last five years; or meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California.
  • Have a minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse within the last five years.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes in a Clinical Setting for our Vocational Nursing program.
  • Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
  • Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in organizing the program and implementing program standards.
  • Maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and ensure the facility meets continuous medical education requirements.
