About The Position

NewGen Technologies is seeking a VLM Engineer to design and implement complex, scalable, and secure vision language solutions on AWS. This role involves tailoring solutions to customer needs, selecting and fine-tuning appropriate models, and developing/deploying vision language models and generative AI applications to solve real-world operational problems. The engineer will also optimize for performance at scale and collaborate with customer stakeholders to identify high-value VLM use cases, gather requirements, and propose effective implementation strategies.

Requirements

• TS/SCI Clearance or higher
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
• 2+ years of vision language model experience
• Experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
• Experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
• Master's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
• Experience translating complex technical solutions and data-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
