About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Specialist reports to the Assistant General Manager and assists store leadership with merchandise presentations, planogram integrity, visual and seasonal displays, and in-store signage. This role also collaborates with Base Camp Visual Managers on all aspects of in-store visual projects. The specialist will partner with department Outfitters to ensure all customer-facing merchandise and visual presentation standards are executed according to the provided Visual Merchandising Directives, maintaining the highest company brand standards. Responsibilities include assisting with product-related visual elements such as mannequin displays, bust forms, department visual scenes, endcap planogram execution, seasonal retail events, promotional drive aisle monthly sets, and in-store signage compliance across various departments. The role is a key team member in planning and setting up local and major retail events. The Visual Merchandising Specialist acts as a liaison to the Base Camp Visual Merchandising Team for department layout validations and improvements, and is responsible for assembling small-scale vendor displays. Daily tasks include ensuring in-store displays are clean, signed, and set to brand standards. The role also involves assisting in training and educating department Outfitters on merchandising skills, VMD execution, and navigating the company's communication portal. Comfort with computers and basic Microsoft program knowledge is required. Flexible hours, including before and/or after business hours, are necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of visual merchandising retail experience, including displays, shop layouts, visual props, and customer service.
  • Comfortable with using power tools.
  • Understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Background in hardlines and/or softlines visual merchandising.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer & navigating the online communication portal.
  • A basic working knowledge of Microsoft programs will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Base Camp Visual Managers on all aspects of visual in-store projects.
  • Ensure all customer facing merchandise and visual presentation standards are executed to the provided Visual Merchandising Directives.
  • Maintain company brand standards at the highest level.
  • Assist with product related visual elements such as mannequin displays, bust forms, department visual scenes, endcap planogram execution integrity, seasonal retail events, promotional drive aisle monthly sets, and in-store signage compliance.
  • Be a key team member in the planning and set-up of local events and major retail events.
  • Act as a key liaison to the Base Camp Visual Merchandising Team regarding department layout validations and opportunities to improve and create efficiencies in store merchandising execution.
  • Responsible for assembly of small-scale vendor provided displays when needed.
  • Ensure daily that in-store displays are clean, signed, and set to brand standard.
  • Assist in training and education for department Outfitters regarding merchandising skills, VMD execution, navigating the Sharepoint communication portal.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer & navigating the online communication portal.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and at times before and/or after business hours.
