The Visual Merchandising Manager directs store fixturing, product placement, and display while supporting daily operations to create an inspiring and dynamic experience for the customer. The manager will interpret Home Office direction to impact store structure, presentation, and productivity, drive store sales, and take a forward-thinking approach to execution and recovery of sell-through and markdowns. Adherence to safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and company policies are also key responsibilities to support store profitability. The role also involves emulating global URBN values, acting as a local brand representative, creating balance between visuals and space utilization, and leading the team to elevate the store experience through operations, merchandising, and in-store marketing. Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers and interpreting/escalating customer feedback are crucial. Leadership involves critical thinking, a solutions-based mindset, comfort in fluid situations, tactical problem-solving, promoting inclusivity, providing timely employee feedback, teaching merchandising standards, developing team product knowledge, and inspiring teams through empowerment, creativity, empathy, and tailored communication.
