About The Position

Acuren is seeking API Visual Inspectors (653) to join our team for our Fall Outage in the Fort McMurray area. This isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to grow your skills, expand your expertise, and make a real impact in a dynamic and rewarding environment. This is a temporary position for a Fall Outage with a duration from August 17, 2026, to October 2026. The role involves a 6/1 rotation with 12-hour shifts and is a fly-in-fly-out position from all major hubs in Canada, with camp provided.

Requirements

• Must have minimum API 653
• Ability to verify and accept material
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Nice To Haves

• API 652, 936, ABSA In-Service, & CWB Certifications are an asset

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
