About The Position

The Visual Inspector will be responsible for inspecting tires from the curing presses, verifying each tire is free of basic anomalies, making small repairs or corrections to tires, and directing the tires to the correct palletizing conveyor. The role involves receiving and inspecting, through the senses of sight and feel, the inside and outside of all cured tires to determine acceptability in accordance with company standards of Quality. The inspector is responsible for following all standard practices, and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, follow plant Safety policies, Plant policies, Environmental policies, and keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly. Tires must be properly stamped and/or marked, then programmed (both acceptable and irregular) into their next process, maintaining an even flow of production. The inspector must report equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions, and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur. They are also responsible for ensuring correct entry and recording of their labor time and performing other duties as directed by Supervisor and/or Department Manager. Additionally, they must ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. This description may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

  • 2 years or more of Manufacturing Experience
