About The Position

Inspect parts in the manufacturing process against drawing requirements and applicable inspection techniques to determine conformance utilizing applicable inspection tools. There is a day shift opening with hours from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime work required depending on department demands. The ability to work nights/weekends is also required. There is also a night shift opening with hours from 4:00 pm - 12:30 am, Monday through Friday, with overtime work required depending on department demands and availability to rotate shifts and work weekends.

Requirements

• Able to perform basic computer tasks and have basic typing skills
• 1+ years of receiving, dimensional, precision, mechanical, or metrological inspection experience
• Position requires the use of information and access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). For this reason, you must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR which is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GD&T, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with Microsoft applications (Teams)
• High school or equivalent
• Knowledge and understanding of hand inspection tools
• Experience with basic blueprint reading
• Experience within the aerospace, automotive, or similar fields

Responsibilities

• Examine surfaces in order to find defects and utilize metrology inspection equipment such as feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers and thickness gauges
• Review, approve or reject parts and document inspection results against part requirements using internal electronic MRP system to document results and route parts to proper departments
• Communicate with internal personnel to resolve inspection discrepancies
• Ensure inspection equipment is functional and calibrated
• Support manufacturing; Areas may include deburring/blending, receiving inspection, and more.
