About The Position

You will serve as a Visual Information Specialist (Photographer - Videographer) at the Naval Academy. You will plan, shoot, edit, and produce professional-quality video products, and photograph and video official ceremonies, academic activities, athletic events, recruiting imagery, portraits, and visiting dignitaries. Products must comply with operational security (OPSEC), privacy, copyright, release authority, and public affairs guidance.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New Department of the Navy employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Current federal employees applying for GS jobs generally must meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
• Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance before entering on duty.
• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Experience producing professional visual products under tight deadlines and changing operational conditions.
• Experience adapting guidelines to changing media trends, evolving communication technologies, and dynamic event environments.
• Experience applying artistic judgment, technical expertise, and operational awareness to produce professional visual products.
