About The Position

This role is for a Visual Design Apprentice who will be responsible for designing the visual identity systems, product interfaces, and brand assets for new ventures. The apprentice will create the visual layer for everything ventures put into the world, including identity systems, typography, color, layout, landing pages, product interfaces, pitch decks, and social assets. The role involves working across multiple ventures simultaneously, adapting visual instincts to different industries and audiences.

Requirements

Exceptional visual craft demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
Strong command of typography, color theory, composition, and layout across brand and digital surfaces.
Ability to articulate design choices beyond subjective 'vibes'.
Exquisite and informed taste across design, art, architecture, fashion, and culture.
Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to work fast, iterate without preciousness, and produce high-fidelity output.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create from a blank page.
A contrarian streak, independent thinking, and the ability to defend opinions with reason.
Ability to disagree and commit after open critique and debate.

Nice To Haves

Real UX instincts, including information architecture, user flows, wireframing, and usability audits.

Responsibilities

Translate brand strategy into complete visual identities, including typography systems, color palettes, layout grids, iconography, and overall look and feel.
Design clean, visually engaging UI for early-stage products such as landing pages, dashboards, onboarding flows, and marketing pages.
Own high-fidelity output and work directly with engineering to ensure shipped products match the design.
Create brand assets at scale, including decks, social content, one-pagers, investor materials, and event collateral.
Build and maintain coherent design languages for ventures as they grow.
