About The Position

This is a Long Term Sub (Maternity Leave) Visual Arts Teacher position, running from September 28 to December 23, 2026, at Ottoson Middle School in Arlington, MA. The goal is to find an innovative visual arts educator who can inspire students to become life-long learners and creative risk-takers, and provide students with the technical skills and Studio Habits of Mind they need to realize their own creative vision.

Responsibilities

  • Teach seventh and eighth grade visual arts courses, following curricula that focus on drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media.
  • Classes are taught five periods a day, Monday-Friday.
