About The Position
Kessler Hotels is seeking a Visual Arts Intern to contribute to their portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an Art History, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Museum Studies, or related degree program.
- Strong understanding of art history, various art movements, and contemporary art.
- Familiarity with art handling, installation, and conservation principles.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and a passion for the arts.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant art projects or research is a plus.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of photography and visual documentation.
- Previous internship experience in a museum, gallery, or arts organization.
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the curation and installation of visual art pieces.
- Support the Visual Arts Manager in maintaining art inventory and documentation.
- Conduct research on artists and art trends relevant to Kessler Hotels' aesthetic.
- Help coordinate with artists, galleries, and vendors.
- Assist in organizing art-related events or exhibitions.
- Contribute to the visual storytelling and brand narrative through art.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the art program.
- Ensure art displays are maintained and presented professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate art into the guest experience.
- Stay updated on current art world developments and best practices.
