About The Position

CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is seeking a VISTA Grant Writer to strengthen the organization’s fundraising and resource development capacity during a period of rapid growth. This role is designed to build sustainable systems that support long-term funding, helping CPR maximize its expansion and deepen its impact across Maryland communities. The VISTA member will collaborate with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to develop strategic funding approaches and enhance organizational capacity.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Communications, or a related field (strongly preferred)
• grant writing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential funding sources, including foundations, grants, and charitable contributions
• Develop, write, edit, and submit grant proposals and funding applications (including NOFOs)
• Support the creation of a comprehensive fundraising plan with clear goals and objectives
• Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and board members to gather information and align funding strategies
• Help coordinate partnerships with external stakeholders and behavioral health providers
• Assist in developing strategies to diversify and strengthen CPR’s revenue streams
