About The Position

Grounds For Sculpture (GFS) is seeking a part-time Visitor Assistants to join their Guest Services Department. This frontline role is critical in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Visitor Assistants support day-to-day operations by welcoming and assisting guests, selling tickets and memberships, maintaining safety and security, and sharing information about exhibitions and events.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven experience with database and point-of-sale systems
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

Spanish fluency encouraged
At least 1 year of relevant experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Must be able to work nights and weekends. Especially Friday and Saturday nights.
Warmly welcome all visitors to GFS and provide assistance throughout the park
Serve as an ambassador for Grounds For Sculpture to promote an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests, members, donors, and volunteers
Enforce safety and security guidelines in all public spaces
Operate the point-of-sale system to process ticket and membership sales
Assist with Museum Shop sales, including product recommendations and merchandise knowledge
Answer visitor questions at the desk, around the park, by phone, and via live chat
Direct tour and school groups to exhibitions and events
Support event setup and assist with day-of details and logistics
Help manage traffic flow and parking
Perform other duties as assigned
