About The Position

Doron is a first-year graduate student at UCHicago whose project focuses on x-ray quantum optics. This project will be further defined during his first year as he takes courses and serves as a Teaching Assistant. He will have opportunities to participate in AMO beamtimes at the APS and conduct theoretical work that will lay the groundwork for his PhD thesis.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
• Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months.
• Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Participate in AMO beamtimes at the APS.
• Conduct theoretical work that would form the basis for his PhD thesis.
