About The Position

PhD student, Changgyu Seok from Virginia Tech, will work under the DOE-TTO funded LENS project at Argonne National Laboratory's Materials Engineering Research Facility (ANL-MERF) under Dr. Ozge Kahvecioglu. The project focuses on calcination optimization and in-situ characterization for sodium-ion battery (SIB) cathode materials using low-cost calcination procedures. The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
• Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months.
• Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work on calcination optimization for sodium-ion battery (SIB) cathode materials.
• Perform in-situ characterization for sodium-ion battery (SIB) cathode materials.
• Utilize low-cost calcination procedures.
