The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Visiting Lecturer in the department of Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Emergency Services Administration. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per semester and to assist in the further development of the UNTD criminal justice program. This 9-month appointment begins September 1, 2026, and ends May 31, 2027. Expectations for non-tenure track faculty include excellence in the areas of teaching and service, resulting in teaching four courses (12 hours) in the fall and spring semesters. This workload expectation can be fulfilled through a combination of teaching and program development or other duties assigned by the department. Faculty are also expected to participate in department and college meetings and fall and spring commencement ceremonies, and other service activities such as curriculum development, online course development, student recruitment, program assessment, and committee leadership.
