About The Position

The School of Computing & Engineering at Quinnipiac University is seeking candidates who share a passion for academic excellence, innovation, and student success to join the faculty in a position in Industrial Engineering at the Visiting Professor level starting early Fall 2026. The School of Computing and Engineering, established in 2016, offers BS and BA degrees in computer science; BS degrees in civil, industrial, mechanical and software engineering; and MS degrees in Computer Science and cybersecurity. All BS degrees are ABET accredited. The school is housed in a renovated building with newly constructed and outfitted laboratories and classrooms, focusing on high-quality instruction, hands-on training, applied learning opportunities, and meaningful student-faculty relationships.

Requirements

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, or students in a PhD program (ABD) will be considered.
  • Abilities to teach courses in a wide variety of industrial engineering topics, including Human Factors, Quality Control, Management, Engineering Economics, and special topics course of the instructors choosing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in the field
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
  • Valid authorization to work in the United States.

  • Preference given to candidates with interest and ability to teach courses in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities
