About The Position
Abilene Christian University (ACU) is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All qualified applicants for these positions must be professing Christians and be active, faithful members of a congregation of the Churches of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Abilene Christian University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor or college assistant professor to teach freshman level chemistry and other chemistry courses as assigned beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Requirements
- Professing Christian
- Active, faithful member of a congregation of the Churches of Christ
- Willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university
- Master's degree in chemistry or a related field
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. is preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach 4 courses per semester (visiting assistant professor)
- Conduct research with undergraduate students during the semester and summer (visiting assistant professor)
- Teach 4 courses per semester and 2 courses in the summer (college faculty member)
