About The Position

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western New England University seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2026-2027 academic year, with potential for longer-term renewal or transition to a tenure-track position. Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in 1) Transportation Engineering, 2) Architectural Engineering, or 3) a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Civil Engineering (4 courses per semester or 24 credits per year), provide service to the department and college, and advise students. Requirements

• Hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in 1) Transportation Engineering, 2) Architectural Engineering, or 3) a closely related field.

• Expertise in Transportation Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Effective teaching and pedagogy skills appropriate to the position
• Licensure as a professional engineer (P.E.) or commitment to obtaining licensure when eligible
